Hi! My name is Samantha Bell - I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND), practicing at the Charleswood Medical Clinic. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I’m passionate about bridging the gap between conventional and complementary medicine.
I have completed a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology at the University of Winnipeg and went on to complete my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, located in Toronto, Ontario. I have also completed a Deaf Studies Certificate at the University of Manitoba & Red River College (joint program).
During my clinical internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, I worked with patients on the Adjunctive Cancer Care shift. As a complementary role to conventional medicine, we worked to support patients who were either actively in cancer treatment or in remission. The Adjunctive Cancer Care shift has now transitioned into the Integrative Cancer Centre, see more information here.
In addition to oncology care, I have an interest in women’s health (including prenatal care), reproductive health, gastrointestinal health, mental health and dermatology.
Additionally, as a child of two deaf adults, I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and I hope to extend my services to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
I have additional certifications in the following:
Environmental Health: An Integrative Approach (University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; 2016)
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (Two Circles Acupuncture; 2017)
Naturopathic Approaches in Integrative Oncology (CCNM; 2017)
Naturopathic Doula (York Region Naturopathic Doulas; 2018)
