CLINICAL NUTRITION
Every treatment plan addresses what you’re eating and we’ll work to make recommendations that’ll meet you where you’re at. By using nutritional approaches, we can address a large pillar in the foundation of health. Clinical nutrition can be used strategically to support hormone health, prenatal health, cardiovascular health, skin health and many other areas of care.
LIFESTYLE MEDICINE
Lifestyle management is at the heart of health - lifestyle factors are foundational to healing and optimizing health. By addressing sleep, stress management, mood - we can have greater, more sustainable, long-term results. When addressing lifestyle, we may discuss stress-coping mechanisms, social connections and support, physical activity (types of exercise, timing of exercise), sleep hygiene and other contributing lifestyle factors.
NATURAL HEALTH PRODUCTS/SUPPLEMENTATION
Natural Health Products (NHPs; often referred to as supplements) may include vitamins, minerals, and botanical/herbal medicine. Natural health products are chosen and recommended on an individual basis - what works for one person may not work (or even be safe) for the next person. Safety, efficacy and relevancy is also taken into consideration - and great efforts are made to ensure that there are no drug-herb or herb-herb interactions between your medications and/or supplements.

COMPREHENSIVE LABS
Naturopathic Doctors are equipped to utilize and requisition lab work for patients. Any diagnostic testing done through your ND will require full payment, as these requisitions are not covered by Manitoba Health.
Complete Blood Count (CBC)
Iron panel - serum iron, ferritin, TIBC
Vitamin B12, homocysteine
Vitamin D (25-hydroxy)
Thyroid panels (TSH, T3, T4, Anti-TPO, thyroglobulin AB, rT3)
Hormone panels: testosterone (free, total), sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), DHEA-S, prolactin, estradiol, progesterone, AM cortisol, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), androstenedione
Lipid (cholesterol) panels
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), anti-nuclear antibody (ANA)

Chemistry panels - kidney: sodium, potassium, creatinine, uric acid (urate)
